Reading, Pa. (May 14, 2012) - The Crusader baseball team has earned an at-large bid to the NCAA Championships and will begin play at the Lakewood Regional, hosted by Kean University on Wed. May 16th.  Despite falling in the Commonwealth title game, Alvernia's recent third place ranking in the Mid-Atlantic Region was enough to earn them the at-large nod.  The Crusaders will open up against sixth seeded Haverford (24-17), Haverford earned the automatic bid as champions of the Centennial Conference.

HOBOKEN, NJ - The second-seeded College at Florham Devils outlasted top-seeded Stevens, 2-1, in eleven innings to win the 2012 ECAC Metro Region Championship on Sunday afternoon.  Senior pitcher Mike Winters was named Tournament MVP after tossing three shutout innings to pick up the win in relief.

Aaron Benz is a three-year starter in goal for the MAC Champion Eagles. He enjoyed tremendous success in his junior season as he led his team to its first ever MAC crown. Benz stopped 19 shots in the 12-11 overtime win and earned Championship Most Outstanding Player honors.

Scranton, Pa. (May 13, 2012) - Junior Alli Bainbridge (Pottstown, Pa./Pottsgrove) scored six goals in the third straight game and senior goalie Jen Czarnecki (Philadelphia, Pa./St. Hubert's) made a dozen saves and was named Most Outstanding Player as Alvernia University (12-8) finished the season winning the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Mid-Atlantic Region Women's Lacrosse Championship with an 18-7 win over #2 Marywood University (16-5) Sunday morning at Marywood.

HOBOKEN, NJ - Senior shortstop Steve Seminerio and senior outfielder Matt Joiner each drove in three runs while senior pitcher FJ Lucchetti allowed three runs in seven innings to go along with 10 strikeouts to lead the second-seeded College at Florham Devils to a 9-3 victory over sixth-seeded Baruch in the Semifinals of the ECAC Metro Region Tournament on Saturday afternoon.

Four-time defending NCAA Division III National Champion, and top-ranked, Williams College ended the Elizabethtown College women's tennis team's most successful season in school history Saturday afternoon in the second round of the 2012 NCAA Tournament. The Blue Jays made the Ephs work hard to advance, but Williams wore down E-town to take the match, 6-0, and advance to the Sweet 16.

The good news for Elizabethtown College's men's tennis team was that their body of work throughout the season and a conference championship kept them from one of the pigtail first round matches in this year's NCAA Division III Tournament. The flip side was running up against the 13th-ranked team in the country in Johns Hopkins in the Second Round. Hopkins used its skill and the comfort of its home courts to defeat E-town 5-0 Saturday afternoon, thus ending the E-town Blue Jays season at 13-7.
