READING, Pa. - Albright College President Lex O. McMillan III, Ph.D., announced that the college will add a varsity men’s and women’s lacrosse program beginning in the fall of 2011. This addition brings the total number of Albright varsity teams that compete at the NCAA Division III level to 23.

The Middle Atlantic Conference announces its annual sportsmanship teams for the spring 2010 conference sports. These teams include a player from each conference school who has demonstrated exceptional sportsmanship through their actions on and off the field during the season. The players are selected by the players and coaches from their respective schools.

MADISON, NJ - Senior attack Kristen Schuster (Centereach, NY/Centereach) scored three goals, and was named Tournament Most Outstanding Player, to lead the top-seeded College at Florham Devils to a 12-8 victory over second-seeded Washington & Jefferson in the ECAC Mid-Atlantic Region Tournament Championship Game on Sunday afternoon.

Reading, Pa. - Freshman Alyssa Verrillo (North Wales, Pa./Archbishop Wood) scored five of her game-high six goals in the first half as fourth-seeded Alvernia University (12-5) built a 13-7 halftime lead en route to a 21-12 victory over #5 Frostburg St. Wednesday afternoon in the quarterfinals of the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Mid-Atlantic Region Championships at Schlager Memorial Field.

Annville, Pa. – Elizabethtown College and Fairleigh Dickinson – Florham both placed six players on the MAC all-conference teams as the conference announced the 2010 MAC women’s lacrosse all-conference teams following a vote of the league’s coaches. Elizabethtown College attack Stephanie Kreis secured the MAC Player of the Year honors, while Kreis’ coach Mike Faith earned Coach of the Year Honors. Rookie of the Year recognition went to Maddie Comfort from Messiah.

GLENSIDE, Pa., - Arcadia University named Erin Livingston, of Philadelphia, as head coach of field hockey and women’s lacrosse. Livingston, who concluded her first season at the helm of Arcadia’s field hockey program, takes over as the first full-time head coach for both programs.

ELIZABETHTOWN, Pa. --- Tournament Most Valuable Player Katie Caprinolo scored five goals as Elizabethtown College won its first Middle Atlantic Conference women's lacrosse championship with an 11-4 victory over FDU-Florham Saturday afternoon at Wolf Field.

GRANTHAM, PA - Senior attack Linda Bohn (Vernon, NJ/Vernon Township) recorded three goals and one assist to lead the third-seeded College at Florham Devils to an 11-8 win over second-seeded Messiah in the Semifinals of the Middle Atlantic Conference Tournament on Thursday afternoon. The Devils will now advance to the MAC Championship Game against top-seeded Elizabethtown.

ELIZABETHTOWN, Pa. --- Elizabethtown College advanced to the Middle Atlantic Conference women's lacrosse championship game with a 17-6 win over Lycoming College in semifinal action at Wolf Field Thursday afternoon.
