Widener Track & Field Gets Strong Performances at ECAC Championships
Widener enjoyed another solid weekend, competing at the ECAC Indoor Championships in Medford, MA.
Junior James Green (Lansdale, PA) closed second in the shot put at 15.69 meters. He is the two-time reigning Middle Atlantic Conference champion in this event.
Tim Malloy (Langhorne, PA) continued his standout freshman campaign by closing fourth in the 55-meter hurdles at 7.97 seconds and seventh in the high jump on a judge's decision (tied for sixth) at 1.94 meters. This came one week after being named men's Rookie of the Year at the MAC Indoor Championships.
Freshman Eric Davis (Ewing, NJ) finished seventh in the shot put at 14.55 meters and sophomore Jacob Munick (Narbeth, PA) closed 10th in the weight throw at 15.23 meters.
Junior Nikita Halteman (Hatfield, PA) ended eighth in the shot put at 12.03 meters. This came one week after she captured the MAC title in this event.
