ELIZABETHTOWN, Pa. --- Elizabethtown College senior attack Aaron Weber has been named honorable mention Division III All-America as well as a Scholar All-American by the United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association, the USILA announced Wednesday.
Weber is the second Blue Jay to earn USILA honorable mention All-America honors, joining Frankie Puzzangara who was recognized in 2007.
In addition, he received Scholar All-America status from the USILA selection committee, which is presented to student-athletes from USILA member institutions who have distinguished themselves academically, athletically and as citizens of their communities.
Weber, the Middle Atlantic Conference Player of the Year, was a three-time first-team All-MAC selection and a four-time MAC All-Star in his career. He led the MAC in points with 70 on the strength of 38 goals (third in the MAC) and 32 assists (second in the MAC), and scored at least one goal in 15 of the Blue Jays' 16 games, and led the team with five game-winning goals.
For his career, Weber finished as the program's all-time leader in goals (143), assists (108) and points (251). He scored at least one point in 60 of his 61 career games, including the final 59 in a row, and holds or shares the program single-season records for goals, assists and points as well.
The Blue Jays finished 12-4 overall and earned the first regular-season MAC title in program history with a 10-1 league record.
