Misericordia University's Frank Redmond earned All-American status at the NCAA Division III Track & Field Championships, Saturday at Baldwin-Wallace College.

Redmond, a junior, finished fifth at 800m (1:53.05) to become the first track & field All-American in school history.

"I'm really excited for Frank," said Misericordia head coach Chris Wadas. "He did what he came out here to do. His goal was to get to the finals and place as high as possible. He put himself in position with a great race in the prelims. This is a great experience for him to build on for his senior season."
