ANNVILLE, Pa. – Lebanon Valley College’s Arnold Field will host a high school camp with all-Pro guard Jahri Evans and teammate Carl Nicks of the Super Bowl champion New Orleans Saints this Saturday, June 26 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
The McBryan O-Line Skills for Success Camp will have more than 150 high school offensive linemen in attendance, receiving instruction from Bloomsburg University offensive line coach Brian McBryan along with Evans and Nicks. News media is welcome at the event.
Evans was named an all-Pro at right guard in 2009, earning a trip to the Pro Bowl after helping the Saints to victory in Super Bowl XLIV. A graduate of Bloomsburg, the Philadelphia native was coached for the first three years of his college career by current LVC head coach Jim Monos while he was Bloomsburg’s offensive coordinator. Monos’ son, Jim Jr., is a college scout for the Saints, which led to the Saints eventually drafting Evans in the fourth round in 2006.
Nicks, who earned the Saints’ starting left guard position as a rookie in 2008, will join Evans for the camp. Nicks was a 2008 fifth-round pick for New Orleans out of the University of Nebraska.
