The MAC office has announced the 2011 spring scholar athletes. The MAC Awards Committee bases selection on academic record (50%) and athletic prowess (50%). One student-athlete is chosen per sport. The winner must be a senior with a minimum GPA of 3.2.

Engel and Rau Named MAC Golf and Women's T&F Scholar-Athlete
Annville, PA (April 27, 2011) – Seniors Kenny Engel and Emily Rau of the DeSales University golf and women's track & field team were honored on Wednesday morning by the MAC Conference office being named the 2011 Golf and Women's Track & Field Scholar-Athletes. The MAC picks one deserving senior student-athlete from each sport combining candidates from institutions in both the Freedom and Commonwealth conferences weighing academics and athletics excellence as well as the nominee's involvement within the community.

Brown earns MAC Scholar-Athlete status
WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – Senior Bobby Brown (Montoursville, Pa./Montoursville) was tabbed with the Middle Atlantic Conference’s top award on Wednesday, April 27, as he earned the league’s Tennis Scholar-Athlete award, the league office in Annville, Pa., announced.

Drazin, Heintzelman, and Scott Named MAC Scholar-Athletes Of the Year
ANNVILLE, Pa. - Seniors Rich Drazin (men's lacrosse), Shayna Heintzelman (women's tennis), and Andrew Scott (track & field) have been awarded the Middle Atlantic Conference's highest honor, each being named the Scholar-Athlete of the Year in their respective sports. 

Sanzari Named MAC Women's Lacrosse Scholar Athlete
ANNVILLE, PA - Senior defender Stefanie Sanzari was named the Middle Atlantic Conference Women's Lacrosse Scholar Athlete on Thursday morning. The highest honor in the conference, the award is equal parts athletics and academics.
