BETHLEHEM, Pa. (Indoor Track & Field) –
The first day of the 2017 Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) Indoor Track & Field Championship were completed Friday at Lehigh University’s Rauch Fieldhouse. The women completed six events, while the men completed five events.

MEN’S RESULTS
5,000-Meter Run
Widener’s Ernie Pitone wins gold for a second-straight season in the 5,000-meter run. This year with a time of 15:23.47. The Pride’s Franklin Livolsi took silver with a time of 15:24.56, and Misericordia’s Sean Luzzi won bronze in a time of 15:36.39.
 
Distance Medley Relay (DMR)
Stevenson’s Sam Mercoli, JT Klopcic, Iddriss Iddriss and Langston Gash won gold with a new MAC Championship record time of 10:26.23, bettering the previous record time of 10:26.99 set in 2012 by former conference member Elizabethtown. Lebanon Valley won silver in a time of 10:28.85, and Messiah won bronze in a time of 10:38.36.
 
4x200-Meter Relay
Lebanon Valley’s Bradley Hartman, Kalen Spencer, Corey Keen and Ian McGinnis won gold in a time of 1:31.21. The MAC Championship record, set in 2005 by Moravian, is 1:31.08. Lebanon Valley took second in a time of 1:31.54, and Misericordia was third in a time of 1:31.83. Widener took silver in a time of 1:31.97, and Misericordia won bronze in a time of 1:32.56.
 
Weight Throw
Widener swept all three medals in the men’s weight throw. Dan Herbster won gold with a distance of 16.17 meters. The Pride’s Jabari Mani took silver with a mark of 16.14 meters, and Evan Crouch won bronze with a distance of 15.92 meters.
 
Long Jump
Widener’s Josh Colley wins his second gold in the men’s long jump, first since 2015, with a mark of 7.03 meters. Colley jumped a conference championship record 7.25 meters in 2015. Delaware Valley’s Ta’riq Thomas took silver with a distance of 6.87 meters, and teammate John Jones won bronze with a mark of 6.70 meters.
 
Heptathlon (through four events)
Through four events, Lebanon Valley’s Brandon McMinn is in first-place with 2,303 points. Messiah’s Aaron Gray is second with 2,302 points, and Widener’s Sean Weiss is in third with 2,240 points. Alvernia’s Jeremiah Clinchoc (2,236) and Messiah’s Dane Cornelius (2,124) round out the top five.
 
60-Meter Hurdles (prelims)
Earning a spot in Saturday’s final were (in respective order): Chance Atkins (Lebanon Valley, 9.00), Brett Koch (Messiah, 9.01), Jonathan Bieber (Albright, 9.05), Aaron Gray (Messiah, 9.06), Jeremiah Ratliff (Hood, 9.06), Wesley Hill (Misericordia, 9.08), Donnell McNair (Messiah, 9.10) and Matt Marsh (King’s, 9.18).
 
60-Meter Dash (prelims)
Earning a spot in Saturday’s final were (in respective order): Juwan Petties-Jackson (Misericordia, 6.94), Devonte Williams (Stevenson, 7.01), Aaron Holliday (Stevenson, 7.09), Robert Jones (DeSales, 7.11), Tylor Bailey (Stevenson, 7.12), Ian McGinnis (Lebanon Valley, 7.12), Malcolm Hayward (Stevenson, 7.14), Morgan Cheatham (Stevenson, 7.19).
 
 
WOMEN’S RESULTS
5,000-Meter Run
DeSales’ Veronica Wheeler won gold with a time of 18:21.82. Misericordia’s Clare Schoen took silver with a time of 18:35.66, and Messiah’s Alissa Rogers won bronze with a time of 18:39.01.
 
Distance Medley Relay (DMR)
Messiah’s Leanne Weaver, Kayla Miller, Maddison Landis and Natalie Ross won gold with a time of 12:28.73. Eastern took silver with a time of 12:40.93, and Misericordia won bronze with a time of 12:44.21.
 
4x200-Meter Relay
Misericordia’s Mary Fairchild, Melanie Fry, Kelsey O’Donnell and Oniesha Clark won gold in a time of 1:45.97, just missing the conference championship record time of 1:45.45 set by Lebanon Valley in 2012. Messiah won silver in a time of 1:48.89, and Widener took bronze with a time of 1:49.19.
 
Weight Throw
Stevenson swept all three medals in the weight throw. Danika Ani won gold with a distance of 13.60 meters. Ariana Engerman took silver with a distance of 13.57 meters, and Jess Rega won bronze with a distance of 13.43 meters.
 
Pole Vault
Messiah’s Megan Renes won gold with a mark of 3.15 meters. DeSales’ Kaitlin Goy and Lebanon Valley’s Teanna Shutt tied for second to both earn silver with marks of 2.80 meters. No bronze medal will be given in the women’s pole vault.
 
Long Jump
Lebanon Valley’s Olivia Jendrzejewski won gold with a new MAC Championship record distance of 5.80 meters. It is her second gold in the event as she won the event in 2014. Misericordia’s Oniesha Clarke took silver with a mark of 5.50 meters, and Sarah Ostroski won bronze with a mark of 5.43 meters.
 
60-Meter Hurdles (prelims)
Earning a spot in Saturday’s final were (in respective order): Reilly Wagner (Misericordia, 9.08), Olivia Jendrzejewski (Lebanon Valley, 9.27), Kristen Frawley (Messiah, 9.36), Abby McMinn (Messiah, 9.45), Nicole Weenink (Eastern, 9.70), Katie Cappuccino (DeSales, 9.98), Kelsie Kennedy (Messiah, 10.05), Lindsay Lord (Misericordia, 10.07).
 
60-Meter Dash (prelims)
