BETHLEHEM, Pa. (Women’s Indoor Track & Field) – The Messiah Falcons won their fifth Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) Women’s Indoor Track & Field Title, first since 2011, on Saturday. The Falcons recorded 169.5 points, while Misericordia collected 150 points for second place.
Messiah’s head coach Dale Fogelsanger was named the MAC Coach of the Year. Misericordia’s Oniesha Clarke was named MAC Track Athlete of the Year. Lebanon Valley’s Olivia Jendrzejewski was named MAC Field Athlete of the Year, and Stevenson’s Danika Ani was named the MAC Rookie of the Year.

60-Meter Dash
Misericordia’s Oniesha Clarke repeats as the gold medalist in the 60-meter dash and also reset her own MAC Championship record with a time of 7.63 seconds. Her 2016 record time was 7.71 seconds. Clarke’s time is also second-best in the country. Alvernia’s Heather Wanner took silver in a time of 7.92 seconds, and Stevenson’s Cierra Roberts took bronze in a time of 8.00 seconds.
60-Meter Hurdles
Misericordia’s Reilly Wagner won gold with a time of 8.98 seconds, which was just off the MAC Championship record time of 8.97 seconds set in 2012 by LVC’s Johanna Walker. Messiah’s Kristen Frawley took silver with a time of 9.14 seconds, and Lebanon Valley’s Olivia Jendrzejewski won bronze with a time of 9.15 seconds.
200-Meter Dash
Misericordia’s Oniesha Clarke won gold with a time of 25.88 seconds. Alvernia’s Heather Wanner took silver with a time of 26.28 seconds and Stevenson’s Cierra Roberts won bronze with a time of 26.40 seconds.
400-Meter Dash
Lebanon Valley’s Lauren Decker won gold with a time of 58.11 seconds. Misericordia’s Mary Fairchild won silver in a time of 58.45 seconds, and DeSales’ Robyn Somers took bronze with a time of 1:00.18.
800-Meter Run
Messiah’s Leanne Weaver won gold with a time of 2:18.31. DeSales’ Beth Dauer took silver with a time of 2:18.69, and Misericordia’s Kelty Fairchild won bronze with a time of 2:19.44.
Mile Run
Eastern’s Kierra Zack won gold with a time of 5:13.02. Messiah’s Natalie Ross took silver in a time of 5:14.25, and DeSales’ Katie Downing won bronze in a time of 5:17.51.
3,000-Meter Run
DeSales’ Veronica Wheeler wins gold with a time of 10:33.56. Eastern’s Kierra Zack took silver with a time of 10:38.53, and Messiah’s Alissa Rogers won bronze with a time of 10:46.06.
4x400-Meter Relay
Misericordia’s Mary Fairchild, Kelty Fairchild, Melanie Fry and Reilly Wagner won gold with a time of 4:03.37. Stevenson took silver with a time of 4:06.10, and Widener won bronze with a time of 4:12.56.
4x800-Meter Relay
Misericordia’s Jacquelyn Bamberski, Shelbi Jones, Jill Eberly and Kelty Fairchild won gold with a time of 9:48.07. Messiah took silver with a time of 9:51.22, and Lebanon Valley won bronze with a time of 10:01.15.
High Jump
Lebanon Valley’s Olivia Jendrzejewski won gold for a second-straight season with a mark of 1.67 meters. Misericordia’s Reilly Wagner took silver with a mark of 1.67 meters, and Marie Johnson took silver with a distance of 1.61 meters.
Triple Jump
Lebanon Valley’s Olivia Jendrzejewski won gold for a second-straight season, third overall in her four-year career. She won the 2017 title with a mark of 11.42 meters. Messiah’s Marie Johnson took silver with a distance of 11.25 meters, and Stevenson’s Dyonne Hicks won bronze with a mark of 10.97 meters.
Shot Put
King’s Jill Korgeski won gold in the shot put for a second-straight season with a distance of 13.31 meters. Stevenson took silver and bronze. Danika Ani took second with a mark of 13.22 meters and Jess Rega was third with a distance of 12.64 meters.
Pentathlon
Messiah’s Rebecca Querfeld won gold for a second-straight season with 2,870 points, and her teammate Taylor Wiederrecht took silver with 2,701 points. Alvernia’s Rachael Dzik took bronze with 2,655 points.
